Gravity Feed Smokers

Being a traditionalist doesn't mean you have to stay up all night tending your fire in order to produce the delectable results from cooking low and slow with wood. Since the introduction of the concept a short time ago, the gravity feed design has become extremely popular with competition and backyard cooks alike. Southern Q gravity feed smokers combine everything you need in one compact package: long burn time, high capacity and reliable unattended operation, so you get your rest while the smoker does the work of regulating the fire for you!

All of gravity feed smokers feature an inner cooking chamber built of 12 gauge steel and a 14 gauge outer shell. In between we layer 1200 degree mineral wool insulation for fuel efficiency and safety. The main doors, charcoal chute, and firebox doors all fit tightly with oven style seals and pressure latches, giving you complete control over airflow. This design delivers pinpoint temperature control regardless of weather conditions and eliminates most of the dangers associated with cooking with open flame.

The Limo - $4200

The Limo, now in its fourth generation is the most popular smoker we make. Available in your choice of one or two doors configurations the Limo has the cooking space to handle large parties and catering jobs. Designed with a lower center of gravity and a trimmed down frame, the Limo offers increased capacity and better maneuverability and the same time. Now every Limo is an Elite model and includes upgraded exterior trim and automotive grade paint. Make it your own by choosing from 1100 finish colors (both solid hues and blends) and custom trim and mounting options.

We've listened to feedback from competition cook teams and incorporated dozens of improvements in the 4th Gen Limo, including cross break doors, round stock charcoal grate, digital probe port and low profile fan adapter. The floor of the cooking champer is shaped for efficient grease drainage and clear of obstructions for easy cleaning.

Southern Q Limo

The Limo easily fits two full pans on each of its 3 racks without crowding. Racks are spaced 8 inches apart to accomodate large shoulders or whole turkeys. Unobstructed, widebody loading gives you the room to roast whole goats and hogs up to about 75 lbs. Grease drains into a disposable pan for easy cleanup. Features our anti-bridging octagonal charcoal chute for long, worry free unattended run time. Round barstock charcoal grate for durability and a superior ash drop.

The Limo Junior  - $2100

The Junior is targeted to be the perfect sized cooker for cooks making the jump from patio cookers to professional grade smokers. The Junior is also a good choice for a secondary unit when you want to cook simultaneously at a different temperature than your main cooker. Designed to be portable while retaining the crucial features of our full size Limo model, two adults can load a Junior into a pickup truck. The Junior is our most affordable gravity feed smoker.

Southern Q Limo

The Limo Junior is roughly half the size of the Limo. The three cooking racks are spaced 7' apart, and can each hold a full sized pan with room to spare. The smoker features the same grease drain system as the full sized Limo, plus a handy storage shelf below.
